Food forest to be created in CWR

On April 3, 2016, FPWC has organized a tree-planting in the Caucasus Wildlife Refuge (CWR) in frames of the project “Showcasing the conservation and community benefits of the CWR”. The main component of the project is creating a food forest in the Refuge. The concept is based on classical principles of arboriculture.
Forest gardens mimic the structure and functions of natural eco-systems, that allow to create a close-to-natural environment with controllable production.
Once proven successful FPWC will expand this model to more communities and help the beneficiaries cultivate their own food forests and supply fresh organic food right from the garden!

The project partner is Otterfund, the Netherlands.
